Abstract

The last few years have brought recognition of the meaning of geo information for almost all areas of society. It is estimated that approximately 80% of all decisions in public and private life have a spatial reference. One of the main users of geo data of the national mapping agencies are municipalities. In the presentation different architectures are discussed how geo data in a municipality is distributed to the different departments and to the public. In addition, the base data used in municipalities and a number of applications based on these data are discussed.
