As you are aware, there will be an excursion at the end of the conference. The destination will be the colourful Lake Nakuru National Park. To get to this wonderful park, the excursionists will pass through the scenic Eastern Rift Valley. Drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park Dr. Pradeepkumar (University of Kerala) will give you an introduction into the geology of the Rift Valley. The excursion through the scenic Rift Valley into Lake Nakuru National Park will cost US$ 35 for transport and lunch, and in addition park entry fees for international guests is US$ 75, Kshs 1000 for East African residents, while East African passport holders will pay Ksh 500. Interested participants should deposit or transfer US$35 (Ksh 3,150) into the conference account, and email the details of their transactions to the conference organisers at agse2011@applied-geoinformatics.org by 15th July 2007 or as soon as possible to facilitate arrangements and planning for the tour.
