Toward a New Generation of Toponymy, one of the main methods to refer geographical object or place is cartographical names, which can be specific for that object or location. Therefore it is important to indicate those names accurately and correctly on the maps.

The national Agency for Cartography and Cadastral Mapping in Morocco (ANCFCC) is the official institute for resolving problem of standardization, shape for cartography creations, toponymy standardization for geographical names, etc. Earlier, there were few listed official names available for geographical features (Cities, town lighthouse) in Morocco and still there are not according to the standards. Theory and methodology of the Electronic Names Database of Morocco is arisen recently and first entries were done. The database was based on MS Access and it was created to store and maintain data in digital forms. Information about the geographical names and features area stored and maintained in the database. Main features related to the database are; it is a national level database, capability to link with other national level databases, each geographical object correspond to the record in the database.
